Sketched Mare And Chestnut Foal

The profound, unspoken bond between a mother and her young is captured in this intimate portrait. It radiates the quiet, protective strength of a mare standing steadfast beside her vibrant foal.

Sweeping, expressive lines define their gentle profiles against a mottled backdrop of deep teal and charcoal grey. The mare’s pale coat is touched with subtle washes of cool lavender and rose, contrasting beautifully with the rich, warm ochre and sienna tones of the young horse beside her. Delicate strokes detail their soft, watchful eyes and flowing manes, creating a piece rich in visceral, emotive texture.

A moving addition to a serene bedroom or a welcoming stable office, this piece makes a deeply personal gift for any horse owner, rider, or breeder.
