Three Racehorses Going to Post

The rhythmic thud of hooves against the turf signals the quiet anticipation before the starter's flag falls. Riding steadily away towards the horizon, horse and rider share a final, private moment of intense focus before the adrenaline of the race takes hold.

Heavily textured layers create a striking contrast between the distressed, vibrant turquoise foreground and the warm, golden ochre sky. Moving away from the viewer, the trio of thoroughbreds are anchored by the brilliant crimson and royal blue of the jockeys' silks, which pop beautifully against the tactile, beautifully aged surface of the piece.

This atmospheric artwork brings the unmistakable spirit of the track to a country study, hallway, or stable office. Choose from 40cm, 70cm, or 90cm sizes to suit your space. The nostalgic textures are beautifully enhanced when finished as a gallery Canvas, or as a Framed Print with a Natural wood frame to perfectly complement the warm, earthy tones.
