Chestnut Foal Beside Grey Mare

The quiet vigilance of a broodmare alongside her newborn captures the very essence of new life on the yard. It is a fleeting, precious stage of equestrian life, beautifully preserved here through loose, soulful strokes that radiate maternal warmth.

A protective grey mare, sketched with fluid, expressive lines, lowers her head gently toward her vibrant chestnut foal. Splashes of crisp white on the foal's four stockings and broad blaze contrast beautifully against the warm, earthy tan background, while the energetic linework gives the entire composition a lively, unstudied elegance.

A touching addition to a stable office, nursery, or welcoming hallway, this artwork makes a deeply personal gift for a breeder or lifelong horse owner.
