Number Four Racehorse and Jockey

The moments before the starting stalls open are thick with unspoken tension. This piece captures the intense, quiet focus of horse and rider, cocooned in their own world before the thundering pace of the track takes over.

Deep, atmospheric teal washes create a moody backdrop that sharply contrasts with the jockey’s brilliant mustard yellow silks. Rendered with heavily distressed strokes and vertical sweeps of colour, the powerful bay emerges vividly from the abstract surroundings. The crisp white '4' on the saddle cloth anchors the composition, providing a sharp focal point amid the painterly textures.

A striking statement piece for a home study, hallway, or racing yard office. Choose a classic Print or elevate the rich visual depth with a premium Canvas. Available in sizes from an intimate 40cm up to a commanding 90cm, perfectly finished in a Natural, White, or Black frame to suit any equestrian interior.
